Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem Opening
Last Friday the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem welcomed its first visitors. By the afternoon the number of players at the newly opened casino reached 7,000 players and during the first day of operation the casino rooms were visited by 20,000 gamblers!
The new casino features 3,000 slot machines and the electronic versions of other casinos games. In addition, it has cozy lounges and four restaurants.
The Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem is situated on the site of the former steel plant and some of its buildings were kept to remind of the past.
Still the event held on Friday is only the "soft" opening and the grand opening is planned for June 9. It is expected that the Las Vegas Sands Corp. chairman and chief executive officer will attend that event.
The Bethlehem casino is situated very close to New York and North Jersey which means that it will become a home for many gamblers from these big cities. Thus the casino will have a great impact on the gambling industry of the region.
