Delaware's Racinos Will Run Table Games
The law to legalize sports betting and table games at the racinos in the state of Delaware has been passed this Thursday.
The Governor Markell who has signed the plan to launch new gambling activities declared that among the venues that will run the first table games, including the most popular roulette, blackjack and poker, will be the well-known Delaware Park.
Delaware is expected to become the first state east of the Mississippi that allows sports betting and table games. According to the authorities, the project will bring millions to the local budget. The first betting activities will be held in about three months while table games will be run in less than half a year.
However, the new law may face the challenge by the professional sports leagues as Delaware is among the first states that supported the law banning sports wagers in 1992.
