Gambling Ban in Russia
On July 1st the gambling ban took effect in Russia and thousands of gambling halls were closed down in all areas across Russia.
As a result of ban about half of million people will lose their jobs. The authorities discuss the plan to move gambling to the special remote zones, Las Vegas style ones. But according to some experts, this plan is very weak and will fail because the zones are almost deserted ones and not ready at all to welcome gamblers.
Without a doubt, the new regulation will cause great budget loss as each year gaming activities brought up to $7 billion of revenue.
Moreover, it is said that gambling may go underground and lead even to more problems than when it is banned. The officials are sure that they will be able to control the situation and keep the society healthy.
